Patriots of Colorado, grab your popcorn. Freshman Rep. Jeff Hurd has wasted no time demonstrating exactly who he is: a self-important Beltway POS wannabe more interested in appeasing globalists than in standing with President Trump.
Hurd just co-sponsored the so-called “Trade Review Act of 2025,” a feeble attempt to undermine Trump’s authority on tariffs. That’s right, barely sworn in, and this guy’s already throwing punches at the man who brought jobs back, stood up to China, and dared to prioritize American workers over foreign profits. Hurd calls it “constitutional conservatism.” I call it what it is: cowardice wrapped in a suit.
I warned you about this guy. I took heat for it, too. The RINO chorus whined, “Give him a chance!” they wailed. “He’s one of us!” they insisted. Well, surprise, surprise—turns out I was right and they were wrong. Again. “He’s a conservative!” Really? Then why is he teaming up with Democrats and swamp-dwellers like Rep. Don Bacon to weaken the executive’s ability to defend our economy? Trump’s tariffs aren’t some reckless stunt; they’re a strategic move to level the playing field and bring American industry back from the graveyard of bad trade deals. But Hurd? He’s worried about tariffs upsetting AFP and his other large donor base.
This bill would require the president to seek Congress's permission to impose tariffs because, evidently, what our country needs is more Congressional gridlock. Brilliant, Jeff. Let’s entrust economic strategy to the same group that can’t even pass a budget on time. That’ll solve everything.
And where are all the Colorado “conservatives” who shouted me down last year? Are they now cheering Barbara Kirkmeyer as she cozies up to Democrats in the Colorado State House to protect open primaries in Colorado? These are the fools pretending Hurd is some misunderstood patriot? Give me a break.
Here’s the truth: Jeff Hurd is not one of us, a true grassroot conservative. He never was. He used Trump’s name to get elected and sold us out at the first opportunity. If we don’t draw the line now, we’ll be neck-deep in Hurds, smirking, self-righteous ego.
So, let’s stop handing out free passes. Let’s hold these POS’s accountable. Let’s start by ensuring Jeff Hurd’s first term is also his last.
