Rubber-Stamping Parker: The Town Council That Hates Dissent

Well, folks, it appears the Parker Town Council, our illustrious, unison-voting overlords, aren’t too thrilled with a little sunlight exposing their cozy club. My latest “Parker Town Council Watchdog Report (1/30/2025)” dropped, and oh boy, did it ruffle feathers. You might say it poked a hornet's nest! Council Member Brandi Wilks threw a glorious text tantrum (check the screenshots—priceless!) and labeled my newsletter “BS” because I dared to cite official attendance records from the Parker Town website. Facts, not feelings, Brandi!
But here’s the real kicker: while she’s fixated on attendance accuracy, she’s conspicuously mum about Parker’s Council rubber-stamping every motion like a synchronized swim team, unless, of course, it’s about lowering grocery taxes. Then, they lock the door and toss away the key. Are we supposed to pay these folks to nod in perfect harmony, or could they at least pretend to represent us?
Let’s also clear the air on one point: all emails or phone numbers I posted come straight from the Town of Parker website, meaning they’re public, not personal. So, kindly spare me the faux outrage.
What’s truly maddening is how allergic this Town Council is to a little sunshine. They’d rather squeal about my freedom of speech than address their own groupthink. You’ll have to wait for my next installment in March, when the meeting minutes for February hit parkerco.gov. In the meantime, Parker patriots, let’s keep that spotlight trained on them. They work for us, not the other way around.
